Has anyone figured out how to get ARC396 to read UASD configuration (USC) files? What Uniden calls a "configuration" appears to be a "profile" in ARC396, but the file extensions are different and there appears to be no import function.
The current beta of ARC396 is basically a relabeled version of ARC246. The PDF manual still says "ARC246" on the cover and throughout the text, and does not refer to any special 396 features.
Also, when I try to build a profile in ARC396, the editor window is nearly minimized and cannot be expanded. Three of the fields are preloaded with the words "text 3" "text 4" and "text 6" - if I remember correctly - and there is no information anywhere to show what the fields are for. (I'm guessing that this is a placeholder for future use.)
The FTO settings, for example, are part of the configuration/profile and appear to be inaccessible using ARC396. I have to use UASD to program my scanner (although I had to flush out the scanner's memory and reload less than the full complement of systems to get UASD to run under Windows 98SE).
Finally, for now, does anyone know what ARC396 Pro will be able to do? I use ARC250 Pro to record audio, as well as to program my BC-296. Will ARC396 also have a recording setup available?
