Sorry newbie here. I received my BCD396T a week or so ago. For some reason (LOL) I thought I could start to play around and program without reading the manual. I ended up in a state that required reading the manual and so I thought... I will just clear the user memory (which I did). I had made the mistake of thinking that the default system databases would not be cleared!
Well I know that the default system data bases will be cleared. So I went on line and updated to firmware 1.20.13 and received my checksum.
I downloaded the UASD and to my relief (I thought anyway) the software has the Scanner Config PreloadBCD396t ! I double click on Config PreloadBCD396t and then "systems" and I can see that the default data bases are there.
But when I try to write to the scanner PreloadBCD396t the "Write Options" box does not allow me to select (check) any of the systems... they are grayed out.
Is the data for the systems in PreloadBCD396t not really there, that is why they are gray and can't be checked?
I know this must be something silly. I just want to restore factory default PreloadBCD396t and then get started a little smarter next time. Sorry for the newbie post!
