I have a couple of talkgroups setup to alert by changing the display color to blue. On a couple of occasions, I noticed that the color will stay on the alert color until another talkgroup is active.

As an example; the display is normally set to green while scanning, when TG 38 becomes active, the alert changes to blue. The scanner starts to scan again, but the display stays blue until another talkgroup becomes active. This has happened at least 6 times now.

Possible software issue?

I only used the alert light once to help someone understand how to use it and in that short amount of time, I saw that happen as well.

I have a couple of alerts set in flashing red and flashing blue, and I have the white backlight set for squelch break. When the channel with the alert becomes active, it flashes the appropriate color then changes to solid white until the backlight turns off - I've never had it stay blue or red but I assume you have backlighting set for "infinite" and I haven't tried that.

That's correct.

Could be...though if that's the worst glitch in the firmware, Uniden did an outstanding job...some radio manufacturers seem to ship radios with beta or even alpha firmware.

Yes, it is happening on conventional too. Not sure its a bug although.
My settings are, white background, infinite, alert set to blue, slow blink. Blue LED stays on until the next active channel.

It was noted during beta testing...trouble is though that it is tough to make a "one size fits all" color change since different systems handle dropping transmissions different ways...so it is tough to trigger the backlight to make it drop and change back to original color 100% at the end of each transmission...

Changed my backlight setting to "infinite" and turned it on to see if I could replicate the change of color issue. My scanner (or more likely my particular settings?) haven't yet replicated this on my scanner. I mention this not to call into question at all the reports above but fwiw. I am wondering if some group of settings is needed to set this up? I once had a Yaesu HT that had horrible software problems but only if a certain group of powersaving options were all turned on. I wonder if something like that is going on here?

Would be nice if the alert color stayed on the entire time the talkgroup or channel was active.
