What I was wondering is if there is any way maybe in a future firmware, uniden could include an option in the fire tone-out to switch to a designated TG after a tone-out?

Great radio, I must say there has been alot of improvement over the classic (396T) model. :D

I would love to be able to scan varoius tone-outs. So the scanner would only stop on the channel if the tone out was rx.

Before putting it in tone mode, you could set the scanner to the system(s) you would want it to scan after a tone-out. Then, once the page is made, press SCAN and it will go to the desired settings.

No way to scan tone-outs on multiple frequencies without missing tone-outs (unless you have multiple receivers in the scanner).

Thanks Upman, I guess I was just thinking since they broadcast the tones on the old vhf and then switch to a designated TG on 800mhz it would be nice for the scanner to switch over so you don't have to monitor a whole system.

I use the priority feature now and monitor a TG and the priority is set to fire dispatch which works great, but if I set the scanner to tone-out standby and then after a tone-out it would be nice to go back to the TG hold mode. As it is now I have to hit scan and then hold and toggle through the TG's.

The System/Channel Number Tags solves alot of the issue for me. Example: I assigned the local Public Safety TAC Talkgroups 13-39 to Number Tags 13-39 in their system (System Number Tag 99). So If I hear something big dispatched out on PS Tac 24 All I have to do is quickly hit 99.24 Menu and Boom! I am right on PS TAC 24.
So Far I really believe the System/Channel Number Tags feature is one of the best features in the XTs. Most people probably have not used it yet as it has not gotten alot of publicity.

Thank You.. I haven't got that far yet, still a bit of a learning curve from my 396T.
