BCD396XT - Single system hold

So like everyone else I have dozens of Systems in my programming. When I press "hold" it stops dead in its tracks. Fine, I get that. But how do I get my 396 to scan just one system?

Also, I'd like to be able to directly jump to this one system so I don't have to wait for it to come cycle through on my LCD screen before hitting "hold". This somehow should be done with a system tag, how do I set those?
I use FreeSCAN exclusively.

Press and hold HOLD while on the system. The HOLD indicator will flash. Repeat to remove system hold.

thanks up man that the feature I've been wanting to learn for years!!, well months at least , now I don't have to scan all the extra seven sites I'm not in range of
