I turned on close call and it doesn't grab anything? It use to grab all kinds of things before this all started

I think I will take it into radio world on Monday and let them have a look at it.

Close Call requires you to be very close. Try using search. You should be able to pickup something, AIR, business, drive-thrus, something.

Did that and absolutely nothing, I think there is something wrong with the hardware because I did a factory reset and absolutely nothing! Don't understand how one min my scanner is working fine and I charge and reinstall perfectly good batteries and absolutely nothing works now??

try a search of the F.M. band...that should get something.

so I take it you do not have a serial port to plug the cable into? If you do, you can capture a file and post it. We can look at the file though you seem to be checking everything . FM broadcasts should come in, you should see a signal strength indication on the upper right corner.What antenna were you using before the batteries were removed? Did you remove and reinstall the antenna.? There is a center pin, did it break off?

It is possible you may have inserted the batteries incorrectly and fried something. I would send it to Uniden repair.
