Hello,
I got a new BCD436. I live on the south side of MKE and would like to monitor OASIS. I programmed in WISCOM, which comes in loud and clear. I programmed OASIS, and I basically get nothing. I even changed out the antenna - NOTHING! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well known, well discussed issue here on the forums. There are a number of mitigation methods suggested in the wiki linked below but they work in very few cases. You'd be much better off with a Uniden SDS100 or SDS200 to track OASIS or any other simulcast system

I also have a 436HP. It's a great scanner. Sometimes OASIS doesn't come in so well. Perhaps try programing a separate list and only include the Milwaukee County frequencies. Sometimes Milwaukee traffic will bounce of Waukesha repeaters and that might flub it up. Also, you may want to adjust the sequelch setting 1 or even 0 and see if that helps. Others may give a more detailed pespective.

Here's another thing I have done that could be considered. I programmed a list of the mobile frequencies. That way you can hear something nearby without a temperamental repeater issue. I often monitor that list if I'm watching TV. Just my 2 cents. :)
