Can the BCD436HP monitor a MotoTRBO system? If so, could someone give me a hint on how it needs to be configured. I've tried a number of ways, with no success. The frequencies fall into the 800 mhz band that the 436 supports. The closest I get is some strong signals as it scans the system I configured, but no stops.

Thanks in advance,

Really hope that you didn't buy a $500 scanner to monitor TRBO, because it can't.
It can monitor: conventional analog, conventional P-25, analog trunk systems, Phase I and Phase II trunk systems, LTR, and EDACS. But not NXDN, and TRBO.
I hope someone didn't sell you on that it could.

Nah, I bought it to monitor a number of things, and the MotoTRBO system was just one I was interested in possibly monitoring. Had that been my sole purpose for getting the 436, I would have definitely asked this before getting it. This is my first "real" scanner. I've had the BC72XLT to play with for a while, and almost jumped into the game when the BCD396 came out. Thus far, I'm impressed, but I have a long way to go.

Thanks for your quick response,
