BCD436HP/BCD536HP: BCD436HP antenna upgrade

Is there an upgraded antenna for the BCD436HP? I only get about half of the transmisions

Please post the RR database link to whatever you're having trouble monitoring & give us agency specifics so we can get eyes on the database and make an informed recommendation for you. Simulcast distortion could be a factor if you're listening to a simulcast trunked radio system, the most effective workaround in that case would be to listen with a Uniden SDS100, SDS200 or an SDR paired with SDRTrunk. A bigger, "mightier" antenna will actually make the issue worse. Partial encryption could also be a factor but all we can do is make assumptions if we aren't armed with specific info from you.

There's plenty of antenna upgrades out there. 800MHZ Remtronics antenna if you're interested in 700-900MHZ, you can add a preamp, erect a 60 foot tall tower and put a directional yagi on top of it...depends on your budget and how far you want to take things.
