I totally agree With You. Not great planning On someone's part.Yeah, i cant read the 536 either, unless i use the camera on my phone, i've got bad eyes to begin with...but regardless, i mean, i've got cordless phones in my house, that have displays on them at are 99% easier to see than the 536...There is no doubt that there are many different easier to read displays they could have used. Maybe a black background, white letters, or white, with black BOLD letters, something..
All I can clearly see is your camera sucks.......Its blurry....I still like the one on the right. (Fixed)....If I could see itThe other day a friend of mine recently purchased the 436HP. His serial is one of the new models. As you can clearly see the scanner on the left is the new scanner and the one on the right is a 436 that was recently repaired under the repair campaign. I hate the new displays. I wish I would have just lived with the battery issue.

You agree with me but you don't....:roll:I would not take that bet. (I agree with you) BUT, remember that not all the old ones will have the issue, so there is a good chance it will not dim.
I thought all the old stock would be through the distributors by now, but apparently there is still some out there.
As for the display, I like the old color better. I find the new color more readable (likely due to the increased contrast between blue-ish/black vs white-black).
As the the pic, yea - pretty bad. Still, I can read the FL line better on the right one.
I don't remember that. I think there is a better chance they will and the new ones too. I like the white and would be more worried about the dust on the inside of the display.BUT, remember that not all the old ones will have the issue, so there is a good chance it will not dim.
So ...You dropped it?....:roll:I dont know if something came lose internally or what when i layed it down or what, wasn't the softest landing when i laid it down, but wasn't hard, IMO, but.
Wow.... You must have a lot of dust.......The HP-1s that you tried and sent back, Did you dust under them too?...... http://forums.radioreference.com/uniden-prospective-owners/330719-hp1-vs-hp2.htmlthen later in the day my 536 bit the dust, after only having it for 14 days.., i turned it off, and picked it up, to dust under it, layed it down, and
Took the SD card out, still not a thing, so its just broke
