Recently I've been getting this when I turn my scanner on. I choose "E" and set the clock. That works until I turn the scanner off and back on. Then it's lost again. Any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

just for the heck of it with the batteries in place, run the scanner on AC for at least 2-3 days non stop. That charges up the internal battery that runs the clock. Some folks have found a good charging restores the ability of the radio to retain the clock info. If not then you ARE going to have to send it in for a fix.

Mine started about 3 years after I bought mine. Sent it in, and it took a little over a week. They replaced a board and it's been great since. No cost to me.

That's good to hear. Hopefully it will only take a week for me once they send me the go ahead to ship it to them. I've had mine for 2 years and this is the first problem with it.
