BCD436HP/BCD536HP: BCD436HP data port dead

I cannot get any responce when I connect my data cable to my BCD436HP
also will not charge batterie or work off of dc
is the data port possibly dead ?

I have had to replace the USB port on a 436 (and a 100 also)
Pin(s) were bent requiring a trip to Uniden.
(Waaay to hard to access the jack to repair myself).

While your problem may well be with the port on the scanner, I'd try a second cable before sending it off for repair,
