First, kudos for having a special place for prospective owners to ask questions! I am thinking about upgrading from a Uniden BC246T to the BCD436HP. I have a few general questions about trunked systems.
When using the auto programming by ZIP with the BCD436HP, how easy/difficult is it to follow an event? Here's an example. The fire dept is sent to the scene of an auto accident. The first call comes from the main dispatch talkgroup. The dispatcher tells them to use talkgroup 3. While on scene, the fire engine, medic, maybe a chief are communicating on talkgroup 3. Later, the medic transports a patient, and communicates with the hospital on talkgorup 7. With the scanner I have now (and how I've programmed it) if I hear someone announce which talkgroup they're moving to, I can keep up with the conversation. How easy is that with the BCD436HP?
