How well does it work in northern Ontario?

I live in Kapuskasing but travel quite often to Hamilton for medical appointments for my little boy. Thanks

Do you mean northern or southern Ontario?

I believe you have one and are in Zone 3 so you maybe the best to advise how well it works in northern Ontario.

It should work the same down south provided there is a tower nearby etc. Most local police are encrypted in GTA and Hamilton but OPP can be heard on the way down the highway.

As I suggested in your other thread if travelling get a Uniden/compatible GPS so it can automatically turn on and off systems as you drive down.

The GPS and an external antenna while driving would go very far in making it a nice experience, I think.

Thanks. I have a nice Hustler antenna on my truck now and a seat bolt mount for the 436. Now trying to find the GPS kit in Canada.

I have a kit that I used twice I think. Still have original box and all equipment. Brand new are $80.00 plus tax but I'll let this go for $50.00. I'm just off HWY 400 as you get into Barrie coming from the north. I just don't travel enough to use it.It's the BC-SGPS, made for Uniden/by Uniden
