This morning, I released to the public the long-awaited Analyze Mode update for the BCD436HP. We are excited to finally get this update out into your hands, as we know that it has been eagerly (passionately? desperately? insistently?) awaited.
Along with the analyze features, this update includes the following improvements or bug fixes:
a) The scanner will now immediately show the Close Call hit without prompting for "Press Any Key."
b) Fixed the issue that would break the microSD card when connecting to a Apple Macintosh computer.
c) Improved the scan rate for conventional scanning.
d) Implemented the Real-Time Clock improvement so that a temporary time setting can be used if the RTC has been lost.
e) Changed the default naming of Favorites Lists, Systems, Sites, and Departments to use a sequentially based schema instead of a date/time based schema.
f) Modified operation of Recording, Discovery Mode, Weather Alert mode, and Weather Priority to prompt for time setting if a temporary time setting is used.
g) If a temporary time setting is used:
- WX Log files are not automatically deleted upon expiration
- WX Alert expiration times are not displayed
- Weather Log files are deleted when power is cycled
