Will this scanner decode MDC-1200?

I have 'Display ID' on, and have played with both hex and decimal.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

No.

I don't know of a scanner that does.

You can search for 3rd party software that does.

It's different than MDC1200

Each radio transmits a Unique ID that can be "Aliased" to an ID, such as "Engine 1" or "Dispatcher"

Ok. Not disagreeing with you but If it does the same thing, how is it different? The original question had me googling MDC1200. Does the MDC1200 do other things?

One MAJOR difference:

UID is contained in the data stream, so it's inaudible.

MDC is an audible tone burst.

There is/was an iPhone app that would decode MDC1200 via the microphone. Hold it close to your radio speaker, and it would show the ID on your phone.

RADIO ID is the name of one of them. (if there are more than one)

Sounds like the MDC is for analogue and UID is for digital?

I know the difference and how it works. My day job is a public safety radio tech. I bought the BCD436HP so I can monitor some 700/800 systems without hauling my scary expensive XL-200 home each day. 🎃
