I have two multi-sites trunked systems that I have programmed into my FL. One is my local county system and the other is a statewide system with around 50 sites. I have quick keys assigned to different (local) sites. I am wondering, is there another way than using the GPS option, to program a multi-site system without turning sites on/off with quick keys?

I know there is a threshold level on the GRE's where the scanner looks for another CC in the system once it drops below a certain level. Anything like this on the x36 radios? I can't find anything. I might go the with GPS option, as that does sound interesting. But just wondering if I am missing anything for now.

Thanks

Is this mobile or fixed?

If fixed - don't program all 50. If mobile - about what you have already described - or keep re-entering zipcode to reset location.

There is a p25 threshhold level setting in the 436 but I am not familiar with it.

No other means that described in post 2.

Although you can keep distant sites active as long as they are not used in your local area. It take millisconds to skip an out-of-range site unless there are local carriers that would slow the scan speed.
