I did a non technical comparison between my bcd46hp and bcd325p2. I used a pryme rd-9 whip antenna on the 436 <which I thought was pretty good>. I used a band specific duck antenna, on the 325. In the following range's. The result's <ears/sight>, showed almost a dead heat in the following range's.

154.000 to 158.000
460.000 to 470.000
480.000 to 490.000

I was pretty impressed with both radio's sensitivity.

Today I switched the antenna on the bcd436hp, to an alinco dj-x30,comm's receiver, rubber whip. I was much more impressed with the ear's.

pdf,

The one h/t scanner that I have is my 15 year old, but still viable, R/S Pro-95. It does trunking, but NOT upgradable for rebanding to P25.

I use a Diamond RH77CA; living in San Diego's "outback", I was really impressed with it's performance; indoors reception is very commendable.
