BCD436HP p25 issues

I own a HP1 and BCD436HP. The HP1 picks up my local area P25 system without any issues while my BCD436HP sitting right beside it struggles. I swapped out antennas and when I did that the HP1 actually worked better picking up the P25 system so it isn't the antenna. I've used the P25 adjustment per instructions on the BCD436HP and it helps alittle...still doesn't work like the HP1 does.

Anyone have any ideas why a more expensive scanner struggles vs the HP1?
