BCD436HP record volume

If I turn the volume way down so I don't hear the radio, What volume will it record?

Record volume and speaker volume are independent.

This is actually a question. I have the bcd 346 and it has stopped broadcasting the Waterbury frequencies. I went into my favorites list and it says all the frequencies are there. Am I missing something?
