Greetings;

Two basic questions please;

1) After making system/department changes on the scanner, is there a quicker way to get back to scanning than reversing through
the menu tree?

2) When scanner picks up crucial chatter (pursuit in progress etc.), is there a way to temporarily stay on that one channel?

Thank you,

Billy

I don't have a 436, but pressing "function and then system" works on the other x36 and SDS scanners to back all the way out from deep into the menu tree.

Press system, department or channel soft-key button to hold on the current system, department or channel. So if you want to hold on "fire ops 2" you'd press the channel button. If you want to hold on "my county fire/ems" you'd probably be pressing the department button.

Press the button again to clear and start scanning again.

If I'm following a pursuit on my BCD536HP (same as BCD436HP) or my SDS200... I just hit the [Channel] button to hold on the channel. Then, after the pursuit is over, I hit [Channel] again to go back to scanning.
