Ok owners of the BCD536HP. How does this new box from Uniden handle Motorola's APCO's simulcast?
Here in Hennepin county,Minnesota, it is extremely difficult to get a 100% error free copy because of there use of simulcast. I currently run a 996XT and it has issues with simulcast, I have a great signal on 2 towers near by. If you think its an receive issue, think again. I've tried everything, trust me.

Error free? Not all all....

The x36 radios *can be* better than other radios at times on some systems but still far from perfect. It tends to do better on Phase 1 than Phase 2. Every situation is different - thus the widely varying reports of results.

I still believe my PSR800 does better overall (detect, decode, voice quality, etc.) with "fixed location" reception (once you find that spot).

BTW - its not just Motorola -- users fight with Harris P25 systems exhibiting the same simulcast affects (example St. Mary's County Maryland).

Best bet would probably be to ask in the Minnesota forums.....

Uniden's new x36 scanners are much better at decoding P25 LSM (simulcast) systems, compared the the 396/996 models. Not 100%, but no radio is. They're the best available at the moment.
