As the title says - I've got my 536 mounted in my F150. Two times now the 2A fuse has blown. Not using the accessory wire, just power & wired so the line is live even when ignition off.

The first time it happened I thought it was because I had not powered off the scanner while starting my truck. I've been diligent now about making sure to power down each time I get out of the truck. This time I'm not sure when it happened. It wasn't while the truck was on, because the radio didn't die during driving. I turned it off, shut off the truck. Came back to the truck, radio is dead, blown fuse. Is this a common issue with the 536 in a vehicle?

Not common at all. Check the installation of the wiring for the scanner first. That includes making sure that the black lead is well connected to a ground source.

My 536HP is on 24/7 in my Chevy and it is fine. It is wired direct to the battery and a Meanwell Voltage Regulator so it doesn't reboot on engine start.

I stand corrected this time - I checked the fuse and it is good. What I had to do was unplug the 12v power connector and replug. Then the radio booted up almost normally. I say "almost" because I had to reset the backlight. It was off. Everything else seems normal now. I may have to add a voltage regulator.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, that's the one I've ordered.

Just to clarify - I did have to remove power from the radio before it would boot up.
