Taking a quick look through the Sentinel software, I really don't see anything different, so I would have to say it doesn't look like it at this point.

Lets hope that if UID's are not displayed on conventional digital channels, it is a relatively simple firmware fix to include them priot to the product release date in Jan..

It does kind of annoy me that I have to do a single frequency trunk system on my 996xt to get this info.

Obtaining and displaying the UID is one thing, then you have to have some way to add an associated 'Group' to store all the alias's for all the ID's you log. This will require a bit more thought on how to implement..

They are different data formats.

X2 is a trunked system that Motorola wanted to be the P25 Phase II standard, but the final standard was different. It uses a P25 control channel, but the audio path is not P25 compliant.

MotoTRBO uses the DMR standard for conventional, but is Motorola proprietary for trunked (that uses Connect Plus or Capacity Plus).

They all supposedly use the same hardware, but it's like trying to play back a WAV file on a player that only supports MP3. Same hardware, but not the same format encoding.

Will you be able to clean out the memory and customize it using a Butel software? I only listen to Fire and EMS. I travel using GPS and hope not to keep having to lockout police and other channel as I drive. Thanks

You Will be able to to select what type of agency you listen to. The software is up for download to play with

The BC96RH Remote Head is a great addition (if you already have one) to include with your current scanner when selling it as there obviously still is interest in using them. I intend on selling my 996XT and include the remote head as a package deal. Not really caring if someone comes out with a mod to make the remote head work with the new stuff-I only bought it so I could better see the display as I didn't want to mount the radio on my dash. And with a new 536HP I can use my mini iPad and enjoy a larger display with color!

Are there any beta testers out there that have the new radios? And are you allowed to comment, post video, pictures. Etc?

Coming in March added wifi features.

I hope this means the radio will be able to receive the feeds from Broadcasify.

Are there any videos of someone turning the 536HP on and changing systems? I'm interested to see if on the 536HP, you have to you have to go through two confirmation screens to change from one system to another like you do on the HP-1.
That is a real pain to do while you are driving.
Real pretty scanner!!!

If you mean changing Favorites List to scan, there are Favorites List Quick Keys, Department Quick Keys, Site Quick Keys, and System Quick Keys, similar to T/XT series. You simply activate or deactivate what you want to scan using xQKs on the keypad using the proper sequence.
