The helicopter is not set up for the tablet install. I will put a picture online to show but if not able to do a hard wire remote means a physical relocation of the scanner. Thanks for the idea.
Using tablets and smartphones exclusively to control the scanner is not the best fit for every single potential owner of the scanner.
Plus I think it looks tacky in a vehicle install.
That must be why all the high end cars are coming with them now. When you spend 100K on a car you want "tacky". :lol:

I don't like new cars, so I might be bias here. Plus integrated into the dashboard and stuck on metal mount are two completely different things. Show me a tablet that looks like it belongs there and I might change my mind.
That's why I worked so hard to make my custom DIN pocket. It looks like my scanner is OEM equipment.
