BCD536HP for feed?

I was looking at buying the new uniden scanner for my live feed scanner. I currently am using a radio shack pro-163. I have a home patrol but like the new scanner look. I live in Sandusky Ohio. Will this scanner work good in my area. Thanks.

I am using a BCD536HP to run a feed in Cleveland. Works great. You can also broadcast alpha tags if you use "radiofeed". You need to be aware that if you want to use the audio output jack on the rear of the radio you will need to make / purchase a special cable. There are several other threads that go into detail on how and why this cable is needed.

Unless the feed you want to provide is a P-25 phase I or II LSM type system why not just keep using the 106? If I had a 536 that worked as advertised it would be front and center amongst my collection. I just use spare stuff I had laying around for my feeds.

If I were you I would keep your feed using the pro-163 if its working. Perhaps get a 536 for personal usage once all the bugs are worked out of them.
