BCD536HP Hard wire

I want to hard wire my BCD536HP in my vehicle but wasn't sure If I had to use the orange wire. Or can I just wire it with the traditional red and black ?

Orange is for the automatic dim. Black and red will work fine, or you could use the wire from the cigarette lighter plug (just be sure to fuse it.)

OK great thank you just wanted to make sure it was not a must to hook up I could careless about the dim
