BCD536HP Never Connects to Network?

No matter how many times I have tried, I get the same message "Connecting to network, Please wait. This will continue for hours if I let it go on and the dongle is right in front of my network router. The scanner detects the right network and I have input the correct password so all is good but it never connects. Is this a new bug or?

Might not be a bug at all. Is your networking running WPA? If not, it can't connect.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am running WPA. I finally connected last night after numerous tries in Infrastructure mode which failed continuously; then tried to connect using the Access Point Mode and then back to the Infrastructure Mode several times and it finally connected. No logic why but it did. Now to get the Siren app to work on my iPad and I'll be good to go. Thanks again.

I downloaded the latest firmware and software last evening, so that shouldn't have been the issue. I double and triple checked the input of the password numerous times and it was correct. As I noted, after changing over to Access Point Mode and entering that info and then going back to Infrastructure Mode, it worked like magic. No idea why, but it did. Sometimes I think there is a demon in the ethereal heavens that waits for me to do anything with a new "toy" and then tries to make sure to suck every bit of enjoyment out of it before letting go!

I sure do appreciate the reply. I will have a significant learning curve with this new scanner and am so glad to have you all here to lean on when things get convoluted!

Did you have available IPs in the DHCP? If not, it would not have been able to obtain an IP which would explain things.
