I just purchased a WIFI dongle for my BCD536HP and have updated my firmware on the dongle yet the scanner continues to show "WI'FI not connected" not quite sure what's going on since the dongle is brand new. The scanners firmware is also up to date as well.

Go to the WiFi menu and set it to Access Point Mode. Then check with a mobile phone that you can see that network. Then the dongle should be ok and there's probably something wrong with the WiFi infrastructure net you have.

Appreciate the fast reply! For some reason when attempting to hit either of those it still continues to show the same message I mentioned above.

Is it the exact same message even without the dongle connected?
Did the upgrade of the dongle went successful?

Yep exact same thing without the dongle in as well! The dongle did update successfully as well on the software I’ll try it again this time.

I also looked at that as well prior to everything and am still continuing to get nothing but "WIFI is not connected" the dongle even shows the light on and registers with my computer that it is plugged in and reading well.
The dongle plugs into the rear of the 536, not the computer.

Can you post pix of the dongle and how you have it plugged in?

What happens when you go Menu>Wi-Fi setup>show Wi-Fi Information?

Have you tried doing a Reset to Factory?

Scanner are not even recognizing the dongle. The display should actually say "Wi-Fi dongle are not connected."

I didn't know that the dongle could be upgraded connected to the PC. Must it not be done while connected to the scanner?

WiFi dongle firmware is upgraded through a program via a USB connection on the computer.
It should have a firmware version of 7.28 if it was upgraded correctly.

When the dongle is plugged into a computer, it should create an STMicro chipset based serial port which may need drivers installed for the port to work before the WifI dongle firmware upgrader will work.
