BCD536HP Not scanning until Dept button pressed

I know i must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what.

I have programmed a P25 system using Sentinel, and uploaded it to the scanner. When I power on it appears to be scanning, but there is no signal strength indicated, and it never picks up anything.

If I press the Dept button twice the signal strength then shows up and it scans fine, until powered off.


WTH am I missing?

Having the issue with Genesee Counties Phase 2 System. Scans no problem then all of a sudden the signal is lost and I have to hit the System Key Twice to get signal back. Any ideas?

Solved

Turned down the squelch an it works as expected.

Odd that it would work fine if I would double press the Dept key with the squelch up.
