I suspected it was a patch, but also wanted to be sure that it was displayed correctly. So it looks like north and south are patched. I have something similar here, but the TGID actually changes over after 6:00 PM.

No biggie, I meant the info about compatibility mode should be added to the wiki, it's a required step to get it to work. I'm sure you won't be the last to ask

Is there no way to edit the name of a Favorites List? For instance I originally created as NJ State Police but I want to change it to NJ Police Statewide (including interop frequencies and the like). I know how to edit names of systems and departments but can't find how to do it for the favorites list?
Click on the Favorite, then click on the a][e gadget, change it and click OK.
There's a button along the top that allows you to rename a favorites list.
This works, but mine reverts back after the first transmission. Any way to lock it to the DQKs?

Marshall, I see from the pic that you've left the LCD screen protective film on the display. I do the same and leave it on until the thing curls up and falls off. :lol:

Can't Hear Unprogrammed Users
On a P25 trunked system, if I program in a unit ID/alias I can hear the unit transmitting. If the user ID/alias is not pre-entered I cannot hear transmissions from the user. I am sure I have some parameter wrong. Any thoughts/help?

If you are trying to hear all activity on a system, including activity on talk groups not programmed into a channel on the scanner, you need to be operating the scanner in ID Search mode.

Thanks for the quick reply! It is not a TG ID issue. I have the TG ID programmed and all of the testing is being done on the same TG. It is the Trunked ID of the transmitting radio.
Essentially, when I have no radio IDs entered in the codeplug and the radio transmits I hear nothing. If I enter the ID of the radio and then load up the codeplug it works like a charm.
Is the answer the same? The scanner must be in wildcard mode to hear EITHER unprogrammed TGs or unprogrammed users? Is there anyway to have the scanner receive only programmed TGs but to receive all users even if not programmed?

Or it could be left as a user choice and can be added when doing the programming, as KE4ZNR has shown...
