BCD536hp vs OP25 (Boatbod)

So I dug out the rtl-sdr and loaded up OP25 on Linux. The BCD536hp was getting extremely quiet monitoring the Forsyth County Site id 7 TG 35xx on Cobb Regional System 17D.

On the OP25 Forsyth Patrol Talk Groups 35019/29 were loud and clear. Just about silent on the BCD. Went as far as wiping the SD card, formatting and grabbing a fresh database. Same result. A stare and compare of the RR database and my favorites looks good. Not sure what the miss is so it was time to ask the RR community.
I’m going to power down the BCD for an hour.
Sounds weird, but it solved issues once before.

No surprise there really. That is a simulcast cell you are monitoring in Forsyth Co. And the BCD536HP was never designed to handle simulcast systems. That's where the SDS100/200 series excel. Sure, you may have been able to monitor it in the past with your scanner without issues, and you may be able to monitor it tomorrow or next week with your 636, but it hit and miss when you are trying to monitor a simulcast sites with a scanner not designed to handle those types of sites. Might have to re-orient where your scanner is or some really fancy things with yagi just to capture more signal from the closest tower and null as much of the signal from the rest of the towers.
