Hi all, I purchased a used BCD536HP and discovered it has the DMR upgrade but I don't have the keys for backup in case I need to reset the scanner. The seller is long gone, Is there anyway to download the keys or access them through the scanner menu. Thanks in advance

If you reset the scanner it won't delete the key(s) if it goes to uniden and they do a master reset or flash than it will be deleted. If the owner didn't write down the keys on paper or send them to you than maybe contact uniden and maybe they can get the key. @UnidenSupport has all the answers.

If the original owner will cooperate, he or she can log into MyUniden & retrieve the keys they purchased, and then pass that information to you.

If, at some future date, you need to send the unit in for repair, whether that affects the installed key(s) will depend on what was done. Replacement of the main system board would effectively delete any keys. Repair of the display, antenna connector, or speaker would not. I would suggest that, if the original owner will not make the effort to provide the key data, then include a short written note that the scanner has the DMR (and/or NXDN & ProVoice) to give the repair techs a heads up. Paul had also noted in the past that in cases where the repair erased the key, Uniden had an internal process to generate a new key for the unit.

Thanks for all the replies, I highly doubt I would ever send the scanner to Uniden for repairs so as long as the keys cant be erased should I have to do a reset I should be fine.
