I made the switch to digital finally after being away for about 5 years, how in the world do I program my own channels and listen to them, I did all the stupid steps there is on the easy to read manual and when I go back to scan all it's on it the OHIO MARCS so my channels won't work and the preset won't even work someone help I'm going crazy

Most folks are using programming software such as ARC-XT or FreeScan who also RR premium subscribers to help program their scanners.
The programming software will communicate with RR and download the pertinent data to program your scanner. It's almost like being on auto-pilot.
Freescan is free, but there is a charge for ARC-XT. It's a lot like Fords and Chevrolets - some folks like one brand and some the other.

You'll get more help if we know where you are - you don't even have a location in your profile - and what you're trying to listen to. What comes up on the radio is of little help.
