I am currently using ARC-XT to program this scanner. I am using radio reference to upload the information, but it keeps attempting to scan the Public Safety band and I only want it to scan what i programmed. How do i lock the Public Safety band out without having to go in and lock out each channel?

You have "Service Search " enabled.

Disable the services you don't want to hear.

I don't use that program.

You should be able to if you can access "Service Search"

If I understand your question, yes this is something that can be set in the software. Look for Configuration Editor under the Scanner tab. Do a read from the scanner, make your changes then write to scanner.

In ARC-XT, click to the Scanner tab, Configuration Editor, and Service Search. They all should be locked out (L/O box checked). The scanner is not updated until you click on Send to Scanner. You can save your configuration for recalling it at a later time.
