I am in Old Bridge. I can hear the First Energy Matawan site very well. The ONLY way I can get the Uniden 996P2 to work is to program the talk frequencies as a CONVENTIONAL system. It's not bad at all. I'm still curious as to why, when programmed as the P25 system, it decodes nothing. I've tried various threshold settings.
My OP25 Linux SDR scanner decodes the system just fine. There is something weird with the BCD996P2. Anyone that can shed some light on this? LEN WB2HKK
