BCD996P2 rebanding question.

I’m sorry for this question, I’ve read just about every article on rebanding but I am still having trouble. I’m listening to the ALBERTVILLE AL system. I’m not hearing any talk groups accept the School Transport. I’m not hearing the Police or Fire. I was hearing normal operation until about two weeks ago. I’ve got the band plans one and two set as shown in the manual.

I see some Marshall County talkgroups on the AIRS P25 statewide system. Albertville fire dispatch is shown on that system. PD may not have been submitted to the database yet. I suggest that you click on Report and request that your thread be moved to the Alabama forum. There will be a lot of members in your area who can better answer your questions.

Bad news! Boaz PD is encrypted on the AIRS system.

all law enforcement on the marshall county airs sites are encrypted. also a 996 p2 is not a good radio for simulcast systems. it will work but your going to have to do a little tweeking. for me i had to set the squelch to zero colllapse the ant move it to a 45 degree angle and change the p 25 threshould .
