SOLVED My own stupidity. Pressed HOLD on the BANDSCOPE system and double pressed the L/O button. (Just as I was told to do two days ago when I couldn't stop the Air search. What a dummy. Sorry if your time was wasted.
So ignore this:
I entered a bandscope search. Now the radio includes that search when I go back to scanning my groups.
It doesn't display the scope but displays the word "BANDSCOPE" as it searches. It just slows down the scanning of the other systems.
I can't seem to find a way to stop/end the bandscope search. What am I missing?
