I was just wondering if ID Searching vs ID Scan slows down scanner when scanning systems.

I was just wondering if ID Searching vs ID Scan slows down scanner

There's no difference.


In both cases the scanner checks the Control Channels for data.

The difference would be whether it stops on more active frequencies in Search Mode.

In scan mode only the stuff you specify causes the scanner to listen to it before moving on.
