Thanks for your comments but BC780 Scanner might actually be working like it should. Police and fire dispatch also having crosstalk problems. blaming console at communications center. I am not a radio tech but sounds like a tuned cavity gone bad to me.

I have never saw a 780 suffer from frontend overload sounds like a wild goose chase.

My RS2067 is the deafest scanner I own it hears a lot less than my 785D but it also was my 1st Trunking Scanner and it only had to hear 7 miles to get the County Trunking System.

Thinking about getting one of these, would you recommend it? One of my biggest questions would be is the display easily readable, especially compared to the 536 models, any other information would be appreciated

TxScanner, thumbs down, go with the Bearcat BCD-996P2 as never any software issues like the BCD536HP/SDS200. Hope this helps you out. Also, the BCD-996P2 doesn't do simul casting that well from what I have been reading. I had owned a BCT-15X which is like the BCD-996P2 but not digital and it was a great base scanner and had fantastic sensitivity and audio. Hope this helps you in a purchase decision.
