I admit to not having read all 145 pages of the manual yet but have spent some time looking for this answer.

If you are scanning a preprogrammed system and it stops you get a display of where it has stopped but not the frequency.

Specifically on the National System (20) there have been several stops where I'd like to know the frequency being heard but don't know how to pull up that information on the display. In Service Search you do get the frequncy but not on the preprogrammed system.

Is there a way to get the frequency to display?

Thanks.

Use display mode #2: Toggling the Display Mode
To change the display so the channel and frequency or Talk Group ID appear
instead of extended channel information, hold on any channel then press F + [0].
The scanner displays Display Mode 2. To return to Mode 1, press F + [0]
Mode1 indicates the channel data under the Channel Name.
Mode2 indicates the frequencies under the Channel Name for Conventional
systems or the TGID number for Trunked systems.

I'll add this to the WIKI.

Thanks

Thanks, I'll give that a try and be sure to print it out for future reference.

Try this: Enter ALL trunking frequencies in the UASD, then turn Control channel only to OFF. When scanning press HOLD on any channel. Then tap the SCROLL button and then press [.No] This activates: Active Channel Display

Now the third line is replaced with the whole trunked systems activity! Cool! Shows you how many channels are active. See page 50 of manual....
