Bcd996t: Help!!!!! Firefighter needs help programming

i was given a used bcd996t with nothing set in it. i found the info for baca county,springfield colorado so i just typed it in and i just here every few words. can someone help me. i am a fire fighter but we have to leave our radios at the station we rely on scanners to here call-outs please help.

The 996 is a good scanner and you'll enjoy it.
1 - Do you have the owners manuel?
2 - Are you using software or programing by hand?
3 - Are you trying to program in the conventional or trunk frequenices?

Seems like Baca is on the DTRS system according to the database, there is a Type 1 Moto System as well

it has the ability to import from the database and make life easier.

so your a firefighter but while on duty they make you leave your radio at the station and you have to buy your own scanners to listen to call outs???


is weather alert / close call / priority turned on or off?
any of those can inter-up programming
