Last night, I upgraded my bcd996t firmware to 3.02.00 from the original 1.03.11.

Since the upgrade, I noticed that it would not lock on the control channel of the 935mhz to 940mhz systems, even while using an outdoor antenna and even when setting the squelch to 0 while in scan mode.

I set up a custom scan from 930 to 950 mhz. While it find pagers around 931, it passes right over everything between 935.000 and 940.000. In fact, leaving the squelch at 0 and scanning it will stop on 934.9875 if going down and 940.0125 if going up.

If I press the Hold/Resume button while it is between 935 and 940 it will stop and then the squelch opens and if I manually tune to a control channel I can hear it fine. I tried turning the attenuator ON, setting the modulation from Auto to NFM, data skip is off, and nothing seems to change this very strange behavior between 935 and 940 mhz.

Does anyone else have a BCD996t at firmware 3.02.00 who can confirm this is or is not a problem?

Should I attempt to downgrade firmware?

I resolve this issue by clearing the scanner's memory with the 2-9-HOLD function and reprogramming.
