BCD996T Problem

Hello I just got in my 996 today. However, I am having some issues with it. When I turn it on it stays at the screen of:

Corp. All Rights
Reserved.


It will not go any further then this screen. Also, if I turn it off after it sits at this screen for a couple seconds, the writing stays in the background while the light goes off.

I wrote firmware 1.04.12 into it to see if maybe the old firware was corrupt, and it says it accepted it. The keypad appears to not respond. I also cannot get any data to write to the scanner besides the firmware.

Any help?

Sounds like you got a bum unit.. Time to give uniden a call.
