BCD996T program digital only channel...

How do I program a channel for digital only ? A department I listen to uses both analog with a PL and digital on the same frequency and I want to hear the digital transmissions only.

Same for a trunked system. If I know the talkgroup is digital, can I set the software so it decodes faster?

If you have access to the BCD996T owners manual look at page # 87 under 'Setting the audio type'. Hope this helps. This is a great radio but there is admittedly a learning curve compared to the older type radios. Good luck.
