When I turn on the scanner the initial screen has all the corporate info including model number etc.. Is there a way to delete this without eliminating all the systems I have programmed? Also if it deletes everything does that affect the updated firmware I installed?

There are two pages to the start-up screen. One is the opening message, the other is the copyright information.

Using a computer program like ARC 996 Pro, you can change the opening message through the configuration editor. Changing the opening message has no impact on firmware or systems that are programmed in the scanner - they all stay programmed.

You cannot change the copyright information with this software. I'm sure that is hard-coded some way and probably can't be changed by any means.

At least in FreeScan, you can modify this screen - I don't believe you can hit the copyright info unless it's part of that first screen......Mike

The unit is setup with Freescan.Can you tell me how I go about doing it?

Scanner--Set Scanner Options--Top right corner, Startup Message. Input your desired info there, save, load to scanner.
