Hi all,
I bought a BCD996T to have the "close call" function and the discriminator tap for DSD but the scanner no longer receives any signal as if the squelch would be high and it is at 1!

The antenna and the cable are functional *AIRSPY and RLT-SDR works*

I'm out of ideas..

Thanks

Which systems and agencies are you trying to monitor? Are you having problems with conventional frequencies or a trunked system? If a trunked system, control channel frequencies could have changed or talkgroups could have changed to Phase 2. The 996T is capable of P25 Phase 1 only. It would help to know your city or town, county, and state.

Thank you very much, I did all the necessary tests!

Check NOAA reception = negative (other reception scanner positive)
Check the frequency of the CC P25 = negative (other scanner positive) = I am talking in analog mode.

As if no connection works between the connector and the reception circuit!

It worked before!

I did a discriminator tap and since then it doesn't work anymore! both closecall and in manual mode!

*does 10 scanners that I do a discriminator tap* and everything works well

If it worked before...

Static zap while doing the discriminator tap can kill the thing.

I'd triple check your work where you made the physical connection for shorts as well as the wire feeding whatever jack or connector you used to get the baseband audio out of the chassis.
