BCD996T to BCD996xt

I have been unsuccessful in trying to clone from the older BCD996T to the newer BCD996XT model. Just wondered if they are uncompatable or I am doing something wrong. I adjusted the baud rate and keep getting the error message on the T model master. I may be old school, but not having a written owner's manual with the new one is a pain.

I did it using freescan just saved databasefrom T and uploaded to XT FYI Cheers

Tulsey, you can not directly clone from the "T" model to the "XT", use the FreeSCAN program that slylingus mentioned: ScanNow.org - The Home of FreeSCAN!

I used ARC XT Pro and used the batch import 396 996 feature. It loads all of the systems from your 996 files saved on your PC and imports them directly into your XT. I imported from my 996t to my 396xt. You will have to redo all of your audio type (analog/digital) and a few other features, but it worked flawlessly.
