Anybody know what Uniden says the amperage draw is on the BCD-996XT and the old BC780's? Getting ready to re-do the shack and don't wanna go too overkill on the power gear.

If you are using the AC "wall wart" adapters, I imagine there is something imprinted on it which shows the power rating. If you use a DC power supply, the rating of the in-line fuses should give a clue on maximum draw.

The AD580U is the standard wall wart for the 780xlt. It states 13.8vdc @ 700ma.

In my last 24 hours of continual use, the battery dropped half a volt.
