BCD996XT Not Trunking
I have had my 996xt for exactly one week now and it stopped trunking a day ago. No changes in programming.
When scanning my Seattle Trunk system I now have the following problem:
When it stops scanning and holds on an active talk group it will not release it (the freq. the control channel assigned at the time) after the talk stops. The scanner just hangs on that last frequency used. I just hear what ever talk group that gets assigned to that freq./repeater channel.
I have reset the scanner and reloaded just one system; it still hangs as soon as the first talk group clicks the mike.
I downloaded the King Co./Valley trunk system from RadioReference and it worked fine for five days and now this issue.
As I said I have performed a factory reset and reloaded my programming. I have pulled the power and let the scanner sit overnight…no change.
I have another scanner a BC296D and have it programmed with the same data and it works fine, the trunk system is working as expected and uses the same control channel.
I have been using trunking scanners since they have been out and scanners in general for approx. 30 years. I truly believe I have a hardware issue. My firmware is v1.04.00 on the BCD996XT.
